We’re proud to offer for sale our meticulously crafted, bespoke Autofarm-built 1970s 911 3.8 RSR – a standout project completed in 2021 and showcased at several of our onsite events.
This exceptional and rare 911 is a harmonious blend of Porsche’s finest eras. It captures the unmistakable style of the 1970s, is underpinned by the robust core structure and running gear of the late 1980s, and is powered by a formidable engine from the 1990s.
The car was built from the ground up using steel panels for the main bodywork, complemented by lightweight composite bumpers and a ducktail – just as the original 2.8 RSRs of 1973 were constructed.
Inspired by the iconic 2.8 RSR, this build incorporates a range of components carefully selected to replicate the look, feel, and spirit of the original – delivering a driving experience that is as thrilling as it is authentic.
Finished to the highest standards, it also benefits from full underbody protection, cavity wax injection, and a durable underbody coating – ensuring this masterpiece is as well-protected as it is visually striking.

Specifications
Just over 1,500 miles since build and maintained by Autofarm.
Completed with a fully rebuilt 964 Engine converted to 3.8 Litre, high lift Cup Camshafts and PMO intake system. Running Twin Spark Ignition System to mimic the original. Retro Style Compostite Tinwork and Engine Shroud, Equal Length Race Manifolds with our own Design of Electronic Switchable Silencer so it can still produce that great RSR sound as well as be silenced to drive on the road.
Transmission was a fully rebuilt G-50 fitted with LSD.
Suspension and steering built with new Bilstein shocks, uprated torsion bars and new Roll Bars.
Servo assisted brakes with 930 Turbo Brembo 4-pot callipers and vented discs.
9 & 10J X 15” Competition Fuchs Design Wheels completes the exterior style fitted with Period Style Michelin TB15 tyres, to give the car the real RSR feel.
Interior is beautifully & Simply finished with an period style RSR Recaro Bucket, Tear Drop Head Rests and finished in leather and Cord as per original. Dash Facia Back Dated to simple 1970s spec with 1970’s Detailing on Gauges, Deep Dish 380mm RSR Style wheel and 917 Style Gearknob complete to contact points on this interior. Lightweight Door cards and carpets with no rear seating. Dash and associated parts all trimmed in leather.
To continue on the Lighter Weight Theme Manual windows have been fitted along with Lexan MarGuard Windows, Sunroof & central locking delete and No Radio or Speakers.
